Too Funny!

Ok I admit it there is actually no reason for this post except for the fact that this picture made me laugh out loud! Maybe it is only funny to the people who live with this sweet, totally patient dog but I thought she looked absolutely darling in my glasses. LOL

Saturday at the Snow!

Because Kristi (Joys daughter) is leaving on her mission in less than 2 months (AHH) and we wanted to have a fun day with her before she goes to Texas, we decided to take a trip to the snow. Kristi brought 3 girls that she is friends with (she has babysat them for years and has become close friends with the family) and I brought Erin and Emily. So the seven of us girls set out to find fun in the snow. At first that was a little difficult, we planned to go to the snow so we drove to Flagstaff but we didn't put any thought into specifically where. Fortunately Kristi has a friend who goes to NAU and she found us an excellent place, it was so much fun!! We went sledding, built a snowman and had a great time together. It was a fantastic day!

Hannah Montana!!!

Jessica, Erin and Emily waiting for the movie in their 3-D glasses

The girls and Emily's friend Holly just before the movie

For those of you who don't have a 5 to 12 year old or have been on a desert island for the last year Hannah Montana aka. Miley Cirus is the biggest thing going these days. She has a TV show, a hot CD, a concert tour, and more merchandise than Star Wars. Her concerts are sold out all over so they made a movie, in 3-D no less, so everybody could see the concert. Emily got 5 tickets for christmas and has been counting down the days till the movie/concert. She invited her friend Holly and her sisters to go with us , the theater was full of little girls that were screaming and dancing and singing just like at a real concert. It was so much fun, the best girls night out ever.

Our own field trip

Tuesday Emily's class went on a field trip to Shamrock Farms but because Emily has been sick with an ear infection I let her sleep in and rest and we decided to do our own field trip. We went to the Mesa Natural History Museum and the Arizona Museum for Youth. We had a great time looking at the dinosaurs and panning for gold at the Natural History Museum and totally loved the new exhibit on the Muppetts at the Museum for Youth. We had so much fun just spending the day together maybe even better than a school field trip.

Lets give it a try!

Ok so I'm trying out some new technology, I tried facebook but I don't think its for me so I thought I would try out blogging. Seems to me to be a medium I can get behind, a little journaling, a little scrapbooking and maybe some socializing sounds good. So here goes! Feel free to enjoy or ignore at your discretion.
